Oh it has been so long!

I really am a terrible blogger. I know. I take forever to post!

However, two exciting things to post about today.

Firstly....
I finished SWAP2014!!

Seriously, I am over the moon with my collection. Everything looks great together, and I loved every minute of it. Here's a look at one of my fave outfits that came out of SWAP2014

The cardigan is a purchased vintage cardigan which you've seen before, but the blouse and jeans are made by me. YES! I MADE JEANS! I am so happy, and plan to make most of my jeans from now on rather than buying ones that don't fit perfectly and don't really last that long. There are a few changes I'd make to the pattern, but I am so happy.

The second exciting thing is that I have decided to take part in Sewing Indie Month. Having finished SWAP I felt like I really needed another sewalong to keep me busy, and this seemed like the perfect option. I was very naughty and bought myself the Anna dress pattern from By Hand London, and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can start sewing. At this point I will be entering the Dressed to the Nines category, and maybe the Everyday Casual as well. Who knows! I might even treat myself to a PDF pattern and make a different garment entirely for another category! I know exactly what I am going to do with the Anna dress, and have the fabric for it, so I can't wait til the pattern arrives and I can start making!

Once the pattern arrives I'll do a post with more info on my plans!
